Crownek to launch 16 ethanol mini-refineries in Nigeria in 2010: fuel for cooking stoves

In Nigeria, Crownek announced that it will construct up to 16 biofuel “mini-refineries” across Ekiti state, with projects expected to be completed before the end of the year.

Each refinery will produce 906,500 gallons of ethanol per year (365,000 liters) and will supply up to 8,000 ethanol stoves will be provided to state residents free of charge, with ethanol sold for cooking at $1.76 per gallon. ($0.466 per liter).
