China gives love, capital may follow, to Philippine agriculture, biofuels
In the Philippines, a Chinese delegation headed by Chen Wu, Vice Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuan Autonomous Region, will visit Manila and Cebu from May 27 to June 1 to explore opportunities for investment in Philippine agriculture and biofuels. The delegation will also engage in talks with the Philippine government regarding the Guangxi Pan-Beibu Gulf Economic Cooperation, an outcome of developments catalyzed by the formation of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA).
Chinese investment in the Philippines will also be a focus of the 7th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit and the 7th China-ASEAN Expo.
