Biofuels Bits: E85 card in Minnesota; automakers will meet 2012 FF goals; Cameron joins Bioformix board
Three E85 stations in Minnesota are offering a Frequent Fuel Card for ethanol fuel discounts.
U.S. automakers said they will meet their goal of making 50 percent of their vehicle production flex-fuel by 2012, up from 30 percent now. But they say they may pull back from ethanol if more blender pumps are not available.
Doug Cameron, former chief scientific officer at Khosla Ventures and Pipper Jaffray and now principal at Alberti Advisors, has joined the board of Cincinnati advanced materials startup Bioformix. At Alberti, Cameron has reassociated with cleantech visionary Lois Quam, who lured Cameron to Piper Jaffray a few years back.
