Indian ethanol production may be permitted in Bihar state: report

In India, the government may allow ethanol production in the state of Bihar. The state’s authorities had asked for permission to produce sugarcane-based ethanol while not producing sugar. The federal farm minister believes sugar factories should produce sugar, ethanol and electricity, saying that ethanol is not feasible on its own, but that he would seek permission for its production in the state.
