Indian bank OKs $150M loan for Sudan sugarcane ethanol plant

In Sudan, the Indian EXIM Bank will give a $150 million loan towards construction of the Mashkour sugar factory in the White Nile region. By 2013 the facility will produce 15 million liters annual of ethanol, as well as sugar, before reaching full capacity of 30 million liters. The total project cost is seen around $280 million.
