28 Mgy ethanol plant in Ukraine resumes development

In the Ukraine, the 28 Mgy corn ethanol plant under development by BFM has resumed progress after a two year hiatus. However BFM Group company director Andrey Stadnik commented that “ domestic producers are running risks consciously as the core legal framework is still unfinished.”

To date, the Ukraine has established a zero excise tax on ethanol, and has joined the EU’s Energy Community, but has not yet passed enabling legislation to implement the EU’s overall renewable fuel goals.
