Ohio to award $8 million in ethanol, biodiesel production equipment subsidies

In Ohio, the state Energy Resources Division has designated $8 million for ethanol and biodiesel production equipment subsidies under the Advancing Biofuels Beyond the Basics program. The funding comes from the state’s $96 million block grant under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The maximum award for an individual project is $1 million, is limited to second generation ethanol or biodiesel equipment, and requires a minimum 25 percent cost share by the applicant, and the project must be completed within one year.
