Biofuels Digest Index edges down 0.06 percent to 68.70 as BIOF soars, MON plunges

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, edged down 0.06 percent to 68.70 on foreign declines.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) rebounded 1.15 percent to $32.64, while Biofuels Energy (BIOF) soared 32.14 percent to $2.22 on news of a new bridge loan. Among other equities, Monsanto (MON) plunged 4.17 percent to $53.07 after EU nations showed opposition to GMO crops. Overall, advances led declines 10 to 9 for the day.
