Malaysia grants 1.6M to oil companies for biodiesel infrastructure

In Malaysia, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board has granted $323,000 each to Petronas, Shell, BHP, ExxonMobil and Chevron to help them install pipes, tanks and automation system to blend B5 biodiesel at the designated depots, starting with central region – Port Klang and Putrajaya (Selangor) – as well as Dengkil (Negri Sembilan) and Tangga Batu (Malacca). The B5 blending policy is set to come in June 2011.
