Ohio plans $8M in biofuels grants

In Ohio, the state Department of Development is awarding up to $8 million in grants with each applicant able to receive $500,000 to $1 million for small businesses wishing to buy biodiesel and ethanol equipment. Applicants must provide at least 25% of the machinery costs. The money is coming from the Advancing Biofuels Beyond the Basics program under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act as a way to mesh the agricultural and manufacturing sectors in the state.
