Biofuels Digest Index gains 0.22 percent to 26-month high of 75.95

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks,  gained 0.22 percent to a new 26-month high of 75.95 as equities broadly advanced.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) plunged 6.59 percent to $31.59 on weak earnings, while Rentech (RTK) jumped 4.31 percent to $1.21. Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) rebounded 5.13 percent to $0.82. Overall, declines led advances led declines by 9 to 2 for the day.
