Biofuels Digest Index storms to new 27-month high of 77.43 after Fed moves brighten equities outlook

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped to a 27-month high of 77.43 as equities jumped  after the US Federal Reserve revealed plans for a major economic stimulus. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.64 percent to $31.56, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) rocketed up 9.36 percent to $2.22. Among other equities, Monsanto (MON) stormed ahead 5.51 percent to $62.82. Overall, advances led declines by 9 to 1 for the day.
