Ethanol blending re-starts in India

In India, sales of ethanol-blended gasoline started up again after nearly a year’s pause, with gas stations in Bangalore, Mathura and parts of Gujarat being the first. The Indian Oil Company says that it will take two to three weeks for supply to even out and then the blending programme will expand to the rest of the country. Due to policy inconsistencies recently, only enough ethanol for eight months at 5% as been contracted by the national oil companies.
