Navy completes successful trial of camelina-based helicopter biofuel

In Maryland, the Navy has successfully test-flown a MH-60S Seahawk helicopter on 50% biofuel made from camelina and 50% traditional fuel. Testing will continue across additional aircraft models in 2011 with a target of approving the 50/50 biofuel blend for use in the Navy ships and aircraft by early 2012.
