BlueFire adds 50 jobs at Mississippi advanced biofuels project

December 6, 2010 |

In Mississippi, while the merits of ethanol subsidies of one sort or another are being debated, BlueFire Renewables has announced the impact of Recovery Act funding in the form of 52 jobs now created as site preparation starts at its Fulton facility.  With all permits in hand, Century Construction is preparing the site for actual construction.

Once construction of the plant commences, the jobs at the site will peak at about 700 employees under the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract with MasTec, Inc.  When completed, BlueFire expects the facility to produce 19 MGy of cellulosic ethanol from locally produced biomass.
