Biofuels Digest Index rises 0.76 percent to 28-month high of 79.86

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, rose 0.76 percent to a 28-month high of 79.86 on strong ethanol stock performances. For the day, The Andersons (ANDE) gained 4.43 percent to $37.26, while Biofuel Energy (BIOF) gained 3.70 percent to $1.68. Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) gained 4.23 percent to $0.74. Overall, advances led declines by 2 to 1 for the day.
