Minnesota's Heron Lake Bioenergy to pay $66,000 fine for air and water permits

In Minnesota, Heron Lake BioEnergy’s ethanol plant in Heron Lake has agreed to pay a $66,000 fine regarding its air and water permits. Among the air quality violations covered in the agreement are exceeded emission limits, failure to conduct required monitoring and failure to maintain emissions-control equipment.
