Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 29-month high of 81.44

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, started the new year with a 1.12 percent leap to 81.44, a 29-month high. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.67 percent to $30.40, while Amyris (AMRS) gained 2.44 percent to $27.28. Among other equities, Cosan (CZZ) recovered 1.02 percent to $13.86. Overall, advances led declines by 2 to 1 for the day.
