Biofuels Digest Index reaches 29-month high of 81.95

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, gained 0.06 percent to 81.95 as cellulosic ethanol sputtered but large caps strengthened.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) recovered 0.82 percent to $31.95, while BlueFire Renewables (BFRE.OB) plunged 12.50 percent to $0.35 on investor jitters over a pending USDA loan guarantee application.  Among other equities, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) dropped 5.49 percent to $0.86. Overall, declines and advances were even for the day.
