Biofuels Digest Index hits 30-month high of 86.12 on large cap, enzyme advances

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 1.39 percent to a 30-month high of 86.12 as large caps advanced and enzymes gained in the wake of the Dupont-Danisco merger. The BDI last closed this high on July 10,2008, as the global financial crisis took hold. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 1.09 percent to $32.56, while Novozymes (NZMB) gained 2.52 percent to €142.5. Among other equities, Monsanto (MON) gained 3.31 percent to $74.92. Overall, advances led declines 5 to 2 for the day.
