REVIVAL!: Iowa green jobs grow 26% since 2007

In Iowa, green jobs have grown more than 26% since between 2008 and 2007—with many of those jobs coming from the state’s biofuels industry—but potential for some green jobs, especially in biofuels, is dependent on technologies and processes that haven’t proved economical. If Poet is successful in converting 30 corn ethanol plants to its cellulosic technology, it would create 2,700 jobs, but that’s still way off in the future.
