Free biodiesel? RINs soar to $1.20, plunging effective cost of biodiesel

In the US, prices for biodiesel RINs have reached a new high of $1.20 and analysts expect prices to remain around similar levels for the next several months. In combination with the blender’s credit, the amount that can be taken off the price of a gallon is up to $2.80—or in same cases more than the biodiesel costs.
