Thailand's Bangchak Petroleum acquires stake in Ubon Bio Ethanol

In Thailand, Bangchak Petroleum will buy 21.28% of Ubon Bio Ethanol Co. for $24.6 million. Ubon Bio Ethanol is constructing an ethanol plant in Na Yia district, Ubon Ratchathani, to cash in on huge supply of cassava. The plant has the daily capacity of 400,000 litres and has an offtake agreement with a Chinese company.
