Novogy raises $750K from General Catalyst for cellulosic biofuels

In Massachusetts, Novogy Inc. —founded by former Mascoma Corp. executives Colin South and Ginja Collins, who have so far been quiet about the technology they are developing—has raised $750,000 more from venture backers General Catalyst Partners.

According to a regulatory filing, comments suggested the company is working on cellulosic biofuels, made from waste paper sludge, to be used in transportation.
