Tangerine residue ethanol pilot opens in Japan

In Japan, a pilot plant for manufacturing ethanol from the residue from tangerine juice production has been opened at the Matsuyama Factory of Ehime Beverage Inc where the company produces citrus juice. The technology was developed jointly by Ehime Prefecture, Ehime University, and Ehime Beverage Inc., and was subsidized by the Ministry of the Environment.
