Philippines producers call for higher ethanol imports from ASEAN

In the Philippines, the local ethanol producers association is calling on the government to allow ethanol imports from neighboring ASEAN countries to help fill the country’s 10% ethanol blend and help shield consumers from increasing pump prices due to higher oil prices. The government has suspended the E10 policy because it is based solely on domestic ethanol production, of which there isn’t sufficient supply to meet the mandate.
