Cardiles Oil plans $19.5M investment in olive oil biofuel in Spain

In Spain, Cardiles Oil plans to invest $19.5 million to produce 12 million liters of biofuel annually from 40,000 metric tons per year of olive cake at a facility in Cordoba using a Japanese process. The project expects to save 26,100 tons per year of CO2. The company plans to use the experience from this project in others it is developing in Almeria and Cuenca.
