Keokuk Biodiesel owners focus on glycerine in re-start effort

In Iowa, the new owners of the Keokuk biodiesel plant are giving the facility a facelift to bring its 4 million ton per year glycerin refining operations back online, focusing on what it sees is an immediate market for glycerin products —creating instant cash flow—rather than the focus on the facility’s biodiesel mainstay. The facility has been idle for three years.
