Mozambique, Mauritius aim for biofuels cooperation

In Mozambique, Alcinda Abreu, Mozambican Environment Minister, and Devanand Virahsawmy for Mauritius signed a memorandum of understanding to extending their bilateral cooperation to include environmental issues.  This was done as part of a two day visit by Virahsawmy to Moputo.  While the MOU covered areas of concern including climate change, poverty, erosion, marine pollution, deforestation and environmental education, continued meetings will include discussions concerning new projects such as renewable energy from oils, solid waste, as well as other possible biofuels.
