US corn heading for record harvest; prices to rise to $7.15/bushel by Q3

In the Midwest, the US is set to harvest the most corn since 2007—and before then since World War II—but analysts at Standard Chartered Bank say that still won’t be enough to supply demand for feed and fuel, which will keep prices at their 34-year highs. Corn will rise 5.7 percent to average $7.15 a bushel in the third quarter, the most since at least 1977, the bank said.
