Cargill acquires idled T&L ethanol plant in Iowa

In Iowa, Cargill has bought Tate & Lyle’s corn wet mill ethanol plant in Fort Dodge. The plant, which was never completed by Tate & Lyle after a construction halt on the $260 million project, has a capacity of 115 MGy of ethanol, grinding 150,000 bushels of corn per day. It will increase Cargill’s overall ethanol production capacity to 235 million gallons.
