In Ontario, Suncor Energy celebrated the completion of expansion at its St. Clair Ethanol Plant.  The completion of this project has since doubled the plant’s production capacity from 200 to 400 million liters of ethanol per year, which Suncor refers to as being the largest Canadian biofuel production facility.

Government representatives joined Suncor executives and local stakeholders at the event recognizing the completion of the $120-million expansion project.  Suncor reported that the project created approximately 250 construction jobs and the plant now supports 63 full time office and operating staff.
