In New Hampshire, Mascoma has named Stephen Kennedy as Executive Vice President of Research and Development. Prior to joining Mascoma, Mr. Kennedy was most recently at Massachusetts Institute of Technology as the Executive Director, Novartis/MIT Center for Continuous Manufacturing.
In Washington, BIO announced that Royal DSM CEO Feike Sijbesma will be presented the annual George Washington Carver Award for Innovation in Industrial Biotechnologyat the upcoming 2011 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioprocessing, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
