POET's new waste-heat recovery system saves water, gas, time

In Michigan, POET has installed a new waste-heat recovery system at its ethanol facility in Caro that the company says will replace about 10 percent of the facility’s natural gas needs, and water that is condensed in the system is also reused, reducing water use by about 5 percent. The need for shut-down time will also reduce by about 50%.
