Bunge receives permit for Brazilian biodiesel plant

In Brazil, Bunge Alimenta, Bunge’s Brazilian unit, has been issued their permit for a biodiesel plant in Mato Grosso.  The facility is currently planned for 109,400 gallons a day, with soybean oil as feedstock.  The company, which operates a soy crushing plant in Nova Mutum, announced plans in February to invest $36M in Mato Gross-based biodiesel capacity.
