Montana Advanced Biofuels reaches DOE loan guarantee milestone

In Montana, Gary Hebener, president of Montana Advanced Biofuels, said that the company’s ethanol project has met Part II criteria for an $400 million DOE loan guarantee, and “We have moved to the final due diligence phase of the process,” Gary Hebener told the Great Falls Tribune.

The project, which stalled back in 2006 over financing issues, has applied for its air quality permit as of last month, and would be located near Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Cascade County.
