Biofuels Digest Index flat at 89.57 despite ethanol beating

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, was flat at  89.57, as ethanol stocks continued to take a beating. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) fell 0.86 percent to $32.30, while Aventine (AVRW) fell 7.14 percent to $19.50 after releasing earnings for the quarter. Among other equities, Biofuels Energy (BIOF) also fell hard, down 8.96 percent to $0.61 after its earnings release. Overall, declines led advances 3 to 2 for the day.
