Biofuels Digest Index drops to 87.82 as renewables broadly decline

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, plummeted 1.36 percent to 87.82, as renewables dumped value across the board. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) slipped 0.59 percent to $32.01, while BlueFire Renewables (BFRE.OB) lost 13.16 percent to $0.33 after being as much as 31 percent down during the day’s trading. Among other equities, Verenium (VRNM) lost 8.06 percent to $2.28. Overall, declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
