Biofuels Digest Index jumps to 92.06 as Solazyme opens strongly

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 2.05 percent to 92.06 as Solazyme (SZYM) and Syntroleum (SYNM) joined the Index. For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) advanced 2.78 percent to $32.21, while Solazyme (SZYM) soared 15.06 percent on its opening day of trading. Among other equities, Bluefire Renewables (BFRE.OB) dropped 17.65 percent to $0.28. Overall, advances led declines 9 to 4 for the day.
