All aboard, Irish biofuels industry ask national transport providers

In Ireland, the national Bioenergy Association is calling on state agencies such as the national bus line and national railroad to get onboard with biofuels in order to promote their development in the country. Despite the 4% biofuel blend, seven Irish biofuel companies have gone out of business due to competition with predominantly Brazilian biofuel imports that are filling 75% of the mandated 270,000 liters required annually.
