Biofuels Digest Index tumbles to 86.40 as ethanol equities sour

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, tumbled 0.85 percent to 86.40, as the US Congress voted to cancel the ethanol tax credit . For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) shed 0.20 percent to $29.52, while Pacific Ethanol (PEIXD) lost 12.41 percent to $1.27. Among other equities, Rentech (RTK) gained 3.37 percent to $0.92. Declines led advances 4 to 1 for the day.
