Australia has not kept pace in biofuels refining capacity: researchers

In Australia, a researcher says a lack of refineries in Queensland will hinder the region’s push to become major players for biofuel and bio-based jet fuel. Though there is plenty of biomass available, the processing capacity has not kept pace with demand or ambition, something which will have to be reversed quickly if the state is going to take advantage of the opportunity to dominate the Asia Pacific.
