July 1, 2011 |

In Washington, the USDA has expanded their BioPreferred list.

Among the new entrants, California based Entropy Resins’ Super Sap 100/1000 System has been certified for sustainable performance composite resins.

Also in California, BioSolar’s BioBacksheet for PV solar modules, was certified with the highest possible rating of 95 percent based on its extensive and innovative use of renewable bio-materials.

Across the Pacific in China, Global Bio-Chem’s Biopropylene Glycol was certified.  Their BioPG is produced from 99% pure corn glucose and used in heat transfer fluids, paint, coatings and cleaning products.  The USDA’s BioPreferred program designates categories of biobased products that are preferred by Federal agencies when making purchasing decisions.
