Adecoagro S.A. obtains license for Brazilian Mill

In Brazil, Adecoagro S.A. announced that it has obtained the necessary environmental license to start construction and assembly of its Ivinhema mill in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. The plant is expected to begin operating in the first half of 2013, reaching full capacity of 6.3 million tons in 2017.

The new mill will be located 45 km from Adecoagro’s Angelica mill, which has 4.0 million tons of crushing capacity and is fully operational. Once Ivinhema is complete, both mills are expected to form a cluster with 10.3 million tons of crushing capacity and more than 110,000 hectares of sugarcane plantation.
