July 15, 2011 |

In California, the California Energy Commission has approved more than $29 million for seven projects.  One project is for hydrogen refueling, two are for LNG/CNG fueling, but the other four are for biomethane production.  Of these four projects, three are for using biomethane as a transportation fuel Sonoma County Transit, heavy duty trash recycling trucks in Riverside County, and waste hauling trucks in Simi Valley.  The fourth project will supply biomethane to the Calgren Renewable Fuels ethanol plant in Tulare County.
