EdeniQ, IKA Works improve Cellunator, ethanol yield

July 18, 2011 |

In California, EdeniQ has reached a deal with IKA Works  to advance EdeniQ’s front-end biomass conversion technology. A successful partnership between the two companies in 2009 produced the Cellunator, which has increased ethanol plant yield by up to 5 percent in various facilities with minimal maintenance or negative impact on other plant processes.

The companies have teamed up again to improve the Cellunator, which will upgrade the initial technology but still focus on biomass conversion, and will be deployed at EdeniQ’s two-ton-per-day pilot plant next year.
