Public forum for comment on proposed Bioplastics symbol

In California, Cereplast, in a follow up to its bioplastics symbol campaign, will be hosting an online forum through August 12th for a public discussion regarding its proposed usage guidelines and licensing requirements.  Cereplast has applied for trademark registration and is currently conducting a due diligence process to determine the guidelines for the use and licensing of the symbol.

After the initial forum period, Cereplast will revise the proposed usage guidelines and licensing agreement and again enlist the public to comment on the finalized rules. The bioplastics symbol is expected to become available for use by product manufacturers no later than November 15, 2011.
