Bunge, Pedro Afonso, Itochu JV starts ethanol, sugar production in Brazil

In Japan, ITOCHU reports they have started production and sales of ethanol in Brazil through a joint venture with Bunge, Pedro Afonso Acucar e Bioenergia.  The Pedro Alfonso plant started operations in May at its full capacity of 2.5 million tons per year of sugar cane processing, and BioEnergy has plans to expand its capacity to 4.4 million tons.
