Brazil increasing ethanol imports to address shortages

In Brazil, UNICA says that the country will likely import up to 650 million liters of ethanol during 2011/12 due to the production shortfall this season as dry weather cut sugar content and mills focused on sugar production rather than ethanol. Already 400 million liters has been purchased from the US and Europe.
