Algal Scientific seeks $3M for algal wastewater clean-up project

In Michigan, Algal Scientific is reportedly seeking $3 million to complete demonstration plants to make algae for the removal of pollutants from industrial sewage, particularly nitrogen and phosphorus.  Geoff Horst, Algals Chief Science Officer, stated, “We are focused primarily on cleaning up a customer’s wastewater… The revenue generated from the biomass is really just gravy on top of that.”
